Whether you want to try volunteering, find out more about citizen science, or you simply want to learn more about the problems and solutions facing our rivers, it’s fantastic the you are interested in doing something to help.

On this page, you’ll find helpful tips for positive action. Some of them might seem simple or obvious, or be things that you already do – but we’ve included them because whatever your starting point, it’s fantastic that you care enough to want to get involved.Other suggestions here require a bit more time or commitment, but will make a real difference to your local environment and your community.

Join our Leicester citizen science group

Develop skills on testing water quality and become part of the local community surveying the Willow, Evington, Scraptoft and Bushby brooks for river health.

    We are a small charity working across a large area, and we’re lucky to have great support which means our volunteering sessions are often very popular. If no volunteering sessions are currently available, please do check back soon.

    In the meantime, you might also like to consider other options for environmental volunteering – for example via your local council, Wildlife Trust, Friends Of group or volunteer service.
